Fantastic traditional Grill house,food was delicious, service was very good with large portion sizes. I had fun with the waiter ordering what we wanted in Greek. Lots of choices in the city but this place is definitely worth a try!

We love this place and have come here every night since being in Kalamata! The food is delicious and affordable, amazing views of the port, and lovely staff! Worth a visit ☺️

The food is delicious! Everything was very good and well cooked. Souvlaki was delicious and soft. Greek salad, awash enough for 2 people, I love it. There is a nice view of the marine/boats and sea. Sensible prices, kind service- waiter. Family run restaurant are the best to dine in. I highly recommend this place.

The food is great! Salad is very big and delicious. We also ordered a mixed grill plate, and we couldn't finish it all. Everything was very good and well cooked. Meat was delicious and soft. There is a nice view of the marine/boats and sea. We enjoyed it a lot. The owner came to our table and asked if everything is okay. The waitresses are kind and again, the food was delicious! I highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Yperano! You are seated right along the marina with great views and lovely waiters. We both got traditional gyros and they were a great portion size and very tasty. I would definitely recommend Yperano!

We had a great meal there. Big taverna but family business and the service is always pleasant, friendly. They took care of us like we are family.

Because the food just about everywhere in Greece is so good we try to go to new places all the time. However, the food was so good here that we came again for dinner on one of our precious few nights in Kalamata.
The food is gorgeous - homemade and it’s obvious it’s been cooked with great care. I had a pork souvlaki wrapped and my partner had steak. Utterly delicious!
We were also given some fried cheese croquettes which melt in your mouth.
It was most impressive that one of the owners remembered what we had ordered on our previous visit and was able to make recommendations based on that.
The friendly welcome of the people who work here plus the good food will definitely bring us back on our next trip. The pricing is amazing for such a full meal (especially if you’re from Northern Europe.)

The best food and best quality I’ve had in my travels to Greece. The owners are the kindest and sweetest people in town. Every ingredient is fresh from local farmers. If you are to eat in the port this is the only place to consider. The horiatiki salad is the best salad I’ve ever had in my life. Leaving kalamata without eating here is a mistake.

For truly genuine, traditional and home cooked Greek cuisine in Kalamata, there is 1 place, the only place, YPERANO! Make sure you all say hi to Christina when you go

Awesome food. I came here by chance and look forward to coming back. Fresh fish, local meats, and you have to try the mixed plates.
Great local Taverna. They really care about the quality of the food and service and the prices are really excellent, especially as it's on the harbour front on the main promenade. 👍🏽

Great quantity and variety of food. We got grilled veggies for an appetizer, and the mixed grill for dinner. Way more than enough for two people, reasonably priced. Definitely stopping back for the seafood grill before we head back stateside.
